MOZART PROTAGONIS OF ARTURO BENEDETTI’S INTERNATIONAL PIANIST FESTIVAL0
Mozart is the protagonist of the 43° edition of Arturo Benedetti’s international pianist festival of Brescia and Bergamo, a very famous meeting for musician of all over the word. As every year the program of this festival includes a competition for students and for this edition Mozart is at the top of the ideas for the writing works; students have to produce articles following the title proposed, like: “Do you know any Mozart’s composition? What do you think about it?
The aim of this project is promoting the knowledge of the great musician between students and celebrating in this way the 250° birthday of Mozart. As result of a recently research, students in Brescia e Bergamo don’t know Mozart very well; so, the organizers of Arturo Benedetti’s international pianist festival have decided to award a prize to the best writing composition about Mozart; in this way they think to approach young students to the unforgettable music of the Austrian musician.
The prize-giving day will be the 20th of April in Brescia, and the jury is composed from the director of the pianist festival Agostino D’Orizio, and from Marisa Andreoli, Renzo Baldo, Lina Baronchelli, Giacomo Comini, Fulvia Conter, Ottavio de Carli, Gabriella Effedri, Luigi Feronani, Roberto Gazich, Francesco Juliano, Cecilia Vigorelli.

We always speak about Mozart’s grandiosity because he is considered one of the best musicians in the word. Do you agree? Why?
What are the prizes of this competition? First of all books and records, but also some theatre subscriptions for the concerts at Teatro Grande of Brescia, where the program of 2006 includes a lot of Mozart’s works, like operas and famous concerts. Students have to send their works to the festival’s secretary within the 11th march 2006. More information calling the secretary of the festival.
